ArtCAM Insignia is a powerful machining solution for professional CNC engravers and cnc routers
users. Designs can be created using ArtCAM Insignia’s comprehensive vector drawing tools or imported from other graphics packages as dwg, eps, dxf or ai, retaining all
the layer information. Bitmap images and scans (bmp, tif, jpg and gif) can also be imported, vectorized and edited.

Once the design has been finished, the model can then be machined using ArtCAM Insignia’s fast, accurate and easy to use machining strategies.

Design Tools

ArtCAM Insignia allows you to create vector shapes such as Squares, Circles, Stars and polylines easily. Vectors can be pasted on to a curve, aligned, merged, scaled, grouped and positioned dynamically.

Vector text can be created and re-edited at any time with adjustable kerning and letter spacing properties.

The text on a curve feature allows dynamic positioning of text position and interactive adjusting of letter spacing.

True Shape Nesting automatically nests vector shapes into a definable block of material, minimizing material wastage when the shapes are routed out. It also calculates the boundary left after cutting, so more jobs can be nested and cut from the leftover material.

Machining Strategies

ArtCAM Insignia provides flexible machining strategies that are fast, accurate and most importantly very reliable.

Machining strategies include Area Clearance, Pocketing, Profile cut-outs, Inlays, Inserts and 3D Engraving. ArtCAM Insignia also allows you to machine Bevelled or V-Bit Incised shapes from vectors for a realistic hand carved effect.

Toolpaths on jobs requiring repeat patterns or sequences can be merged and block-copied to fill a sheet of material.

ArtCAM Insignia provides advanced profiling options designed, to increase toolpath efficiency. The toolpaths’ start point, lead ins /outs, bridges (tabs) and overcut distances are all editable

ArtCAM Insignia includes a 3D Toolpath Simulation environment which allows you to view and verify your calculated toolpaths, before the cutting of any material takes place.
